10 points, cant import movies via Imovie HD?-Collection of common programming errors
Sarah N I have a mac os x 10.5.4 and got imovie 06 HD cause it has more features than the other imovies. I am trying to import a image sequence I made into a movie via quicktime. It was a .mov file. I have converted it to avi,wmv,mp4…. and it does the same thing everytime. “File can not be imported: unknown error”. When I did a suggested mp4 conversion, it loaded… but when I transfered it to the timeline, there was absolutely no picture whatsoever. When I launch Imovie it says this Your computer contains a graphics card which may not support Imovie: iMovie requires a “Quartz Extreme Compatible” graphics card. Certain iMovie features such as Themes, Ken Burns Photos, and Video FX may not work properly with your graphics card.”I do not know if that has anything to do with it but I would really appreciate some help so I can get this working properly.
anonymous2When importing, it must be off a camera, otherwise iMovie won’t accept it as a valid file format.
Basically, it won’t work.
anonymous3iMovie only supported MPEG-2/MPEG-4/Quick Time Movie/AVCHD/DV and HDV(High Definition Video).
