iphone ipad universal
I wrote an iPhone app. Then, I changed the interface a fair bit, added higher res images, and made an iPad version of it. In a perfect world, I would like for anyone who buys the iPad version to get the iPhone version for free (though not conversely). Since Apple doesn’t seem to have a way to do that (right??), my next favorite solution is to make the iPad version include the iPhone version somehow.I know that I could just convert the iPad version to “universal”, but since the face of the app is

NSStreamDelegate was defined in previous OS as (NSObject)NSStreamDelegate In the latest OS it is defined as id Both have the same function. If I want to write code that is Runtime system aware. How do I create an object that is both and neither? I dream of that truly universal app.if (catchOS10.5_or_iOS3.2) { [MyStream setDelegate:myObj] } else { [MyStream setDelegate:myObjWithProtocol] }I have myHandlerClass which in the NEW os is MyClass:NSObject Thus my quandary. Any suggestions?-A

iphone ipad universal
I have two apps (one for the iPhone, the other for the iPad) that I’d like to combine into one universal app. For my first attempt, I tried creating a new universal app project and added the libraries for the iPhone and iPad versions. The iPad version compiled and ran fine (as expected), but the iPhone version didn’t. My hope was that I could create a universal app that would execute only the project in the iPhone library when running on the iPhone and vice versa for the iPad.It seems like this

I have an iphone app.I decided to upgrade it to iPad and installed the xcode_3.2.3_and_iphone_sdk_4__final.dmgI upgraded the app to an universal app. Before installation of new sdk, I could compile my iphone app with 3.0 sdk. However, after installation, I can only see iPhone Device 3.2 adn 4.0 sdks on xcode.I wonder, if I compiled my universal app with 3.2 sdk then can the iphones with 3.0-1-2 OS versions run my new universal app?If they can not, are there any way to do that?

ipad uibutton size universal
I have a iPhone app I am converting to Universal. I properly set up the MainWindow-iPad.xib and tied its view controller to my view controller class and all the other links etc and at run time, under the iPad simulator the App WORKS Perfectly…However, I have 2 buttons in the XIB for iPad, and while in the XIB they are both resized from the default size to the sizes I want, and appear properly, at runtime under IPAD they appear as though the are still the default size when added to the XIB. I’m making a universal iPad/iPhone app which can use the iPad’s VGA out connector to mirror the content of the app on an external screen. However, the iPhone does not have this functionality. given the following code,#ifdef UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM if (UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM() == UIUserInterfaceIdiomPad) {NSLog(@”this code should not execute on iphone”); [[NSNotificationCenter defaultCenter] addObserver:selfselector:@selector(screenInfoNotificationReceieved:) name:UIScreenDidConnectNotifica

I have build an universal application which works perfectly in iPhone Simulator. But the application crashes in iPad simulator. The execution does not enter in to the AppDelegate of the iPad itself. It doesn’t throw any errors or anything just doesn’t do anything.

My problem is about splash screens.I need 6 splash screens. iPad, iPhone, iPhoneRetina (in English) and iPad, iPhone, iPhoneRetina (in Local Lang)I have a file for iPad English Splash, named “Default.png”. When I select this file on project navigator, I can add localized version by clicking “+” sign. As a result I have 2 files: Default.png (English) and Default.png (Local Lang) So far eveything is ok.But when I try to add “Default~iphone.png” file

ios objective-c master-detail universal
I started a Master-Detail Application in X-Code. I chose the options to be universal, core data, and git repo. When the application comes up, I went into the iphone story board, added a tab view controller, moved the nav/table/detail views it starts with to be in the tab controller as the third tab (in reality I want it to be the fourth). I then chose the tab controller to be the initial view the program should start with when in iphone mode. It builds successfully but does not allow the program
