    java file-io inputstream mplayer
I’m trying to develop a server for mplayer using Java but I can’t open files that have spaces in name (e.g. “File with space.mp3”).I’m following this tutorial here. The problem is, every time I try to open a file with spaces in name the getInputStream() read only the string before the space, generating a “file not found” error. The path are correct in command, I tried even different formats (e.g. “File\ with\ space.mp3”, “$PATH/File with space.mp3”, etc), but nothing works. What can I do to get da

    11.10 pulseaudio vlc mplayer audio-sync
I just upgraded to Oneiric Ocelot and a problem that was already present in Natty has become worse – namely, the audio and video are not in sync both in VLC and in mplayer. The problem only used to happen in VLC in Natty. Some searching on the Internet seems to indicate that pulse-audio might be the problem.

    video-streaming vlc rtmp mplayer
I often download rtmp videos from techtalks.tv usingmplayer -dumpstream rtmpurlWhen I play the stream in vlc, I cannot move to an arbitrary location – it crashes. Why is this? Can I convert the stream to some other format where I can jump to an arbitrary location like any mp4/mpeg video? How do I do that?

    axis rtsp ip-camera mplayer
I’m using mplayer for playing RTSP streams (Axis IP Camera), and I would like to know how I can prevent mplayer from crashing when the IP cameras are unreachable (network problem, camera is shutdown, etc…). Currently, mplayer crash with this output: MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: free_demuxer – MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.Recompile MPlayer with –enable-debug and make a ‘gdb’ backtrace anddisassembly. video conversion ffmpeg mplayer
I’ve tried a ffmpeg, and it doesn’t know how to read Quicktime MOV, neither does VirtualDub.Avidemux crashes when I open the Quicktime MOV.In Linux, I’d just use MEncoder, but I’m telling someone over the phone how to resize this 1080p MOV file, so having them use MEncoder in a command shell would be annoying.Any ideas?

    12.04 drivers nvidia mplayer
My Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 1gb keeps crashing my whole system while playing 3d games. I installed the latest drivers and nothing has been fixed. Is this a problem with all nvidia drivers and there is something your meant to disable? The only thing I can provide for possible debugging is that when playing HD videos through VLC or SMPlayer(System can also crash while playing in SMPlayer) the video lags and the sound is prickly but while playing the same videos in MPlayer it works fine. SMPlayer uses

    audio codec mplayer
mplayer (from mplayerhq.hu) on windows repeats the last few audio frames upon exit. When the video ends, before you can see Exiting… (End of file)in the command prompt, you will hear the last 1/2 second or so of the audio track again. This behavior is the same for multiple containers/codecs/soundcards Vista or Windows 7.Is there a workaround for this?My playback specs:MPlayer Sherpya-MT-SVN-r31027-4.2.5 (C) 2000-2010 MPlayer Team 150 audio & 343 video codecsPlaying splash_final.wmv. mp3 ffmpeg mplayer id3 lame
I need to convert WMA metadata into MP3 ID3 tags. FFmpeg should be able to dump them into a file and load them back to another using implemented mappers. I cannot find syntax of usage though:http://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg.html#MetadataI cannot convert files using FFmpeg directly because it fails on 1% of them, which is critical for thousands of files.
