MS outlook 2007 problems?-Collection of common programming errors
Lottie I am trying to set up MS outlook 2007 on my laptop but seem to be unable to send or recieve emails.I think am doing something wrong or have set it up wrong. Well, i entered my initial details when setting it up and now am taken directly to the homepage of outlook when i open it. However, when i hit send/recieve, no emails are sent or recieved and instead i am showed lots of error messages such as ‘Log onto mail server (POP3); An unknown error occured, Error number. ….etc..etc’ and ‘Error: the sever you entered cannot be found on the network’ . please help, thank you muchxx

Open outlook express,On the top navigation bar click tools,on the drop down menu click accounts.On ,,the right hand side you will see the word add,Click on that,And then mail,Type your name in,click next.Type your e-mail address,Click next ,E-mail server names. Make sure the box at the top says pop 3.Where it says incoming mails type the word pop.your isp name.Out going mails areSmtp.your isp name,,Click next.Next screen says internet mail log on type the account name and password your isp has given you,Click on remember password,Click next. Finished.
Nucleus There can be different reasons: Please check whether you configure the mail account properly. Did you install an Anti-Virus software? If so, uninstalling might be a solution. Go to Control Panel > Security Center > Windows Firewall > ‘Exceptions’ Tab > Add Ports 23 & 110Also you can contact your email service provider to findout if they have a problem in their side.
