I can't send email in Outlook Express but can receive?? Help!?-Collection of common programming errors

  • bossysilver I have configured my Outlook Express to my sky.com account as i hate sky email. While i can receive Email i can’t send them, instead i get the following message. An unknown error has occurred. Subject ‘?’, Account: ‘imap.tools.sky.com’, Server: ‘smtp.tools.sky.com’, Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800CCC0

    I have followed Sky’s instructions to the letter, can i fix this problem??

    You don’t need to use O.E. you can set up another server. Any way Sky should have there own. Ok try this phone this number 07941199240 and ask for Roger. He will be able to sort this out.

    All I can think of is make sure your outgoing POP3 address is correct and linking to sky’s servers.
