WDS 3.x ate my machine.-Collection of common programming errors

The network is not Domain based…just a workgroup.  The Key you referenced is not in the registry.

I think the problem may be traced to PHP.  I had forgotten that PHP had been installed on this system.  I uninstalled php and was able to get wds to work.  As soon as I reinstalled PHP WDS crashed.  I uninstalled WDS, installed PHP and the system works again.  In fact, I then loaded Copernic Desktop and everything seems to be running (but w/o the tight Outlook integration).

Som of the error logs have been lost in the “restore from backups” I’ve done.  However, some still exist.  The first one I can’t paste here w/o having IE lock up as it seems to include some extended codes.  The human readable error message reads:  The description for Event ID {9000} in Source {Windows Search Service} cannot be found.  The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer.  …

Details: The content index server cannot update or access information because of a databse error.  Stop adn restart the search service.  If the problem persists, reset and recrawl the content index.  In some cases it may e necessary to delete and recreate the content index.  (0x80041171)

. JET erReadVerifyFailure.  Checksum error on a database page.

Numerous attempts to reinstall the program (uninstall/reinstall) lead to the same lock up condition each time.

Any ideas?  Thanks for your help.
