How do I install the proprietary drivers for 650 ti BOOST-Collection of common programming errors

I just installed ubuntu on my newly built computer and wanted to use the proprietary drivers for my 650 ti BOOST. When I open the addtional drivers program it searches for available drivers but nothing shows up. I want to use the proprietary drivers because I had poor performance in minecraft and Team Fortress 2 crashes to desktop
