Ipod cannot restore error 1601?-Collection of common programming errors

I have an iPod Touch 2G MC Model and for some reason it got stuck in Recovery Mode. I try to plug it into the computer to connect it to iTunes but then it tells me I have to restore my iPod. I press the restore button and it tells me “The iPod “iPod” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1601). I’ve tried everything to fix it (called Apple, upgraded my itunes, uninstalled itunes and everything dealing with it and reinstalling them, and I have searched and searched on the web and can’t seem to find anything). Can somebody please help me?

turn off the ipod then insert the usb cable. get black ra1n type in google. click on make it rain then wait for ur ipod to turn on
