Cannot download messages to outlook express?-Collection of common programming errors
camel trader I had problems which started in late october where I could not down load my yahoo plus mail to outlook express for over a week. I cleared all my existing yahoo mail out of outlook express as I did not want duplicate downloads and reconfigured Yahoo to their pop spec. When i try to download now it reports: An unknown error has occurred. Account: ‘pop.mail.co.uk’, Server: ‘pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk’, Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Error Number: 0x800C0133. I have redirected most new mail to gmail but would like to get this problem sorted. I have spent hours with Yahoo tech services but they cant fix it.I have around 2000 messages on yahoo.
Devil There are several reasons to that… 1) Your POP or SMTP might be wrong. 2) The server port numbers might be wrong. 3) SSL protocol might be wrong.Try using and following the help options found on the Yahoo website. Especially the protocol and port numbers. If you get one wrong, it wouldn’t work at all…
anonymous2It seems you have a problem with the authentication. I think you have to allow the pop3 and mailforwarding. In the foreign yahoo it is under mail options, pop3/mailrforwarding and then you can opt-in and out the options (which one you want to use)
