How can I solve this issue to play Minecraft?-Collection of common programming errors
- There’s a few things you can try… 1st and easiest – make sure you video card drivers are up to date. 2nd thing to try – go to your “.minecraft” or “minecraft” folder and locate options.txt. Find the line that says: advancedOpengl=true If it says true, change it to “advancedOpengl=false” and try to start Minecraft again. 3rd thing to try – if all else fails, you may need a newer computer to run Minecraft. Side note! If you are unsure how to get to your minecraft folder, follow these instructions: Windows User: – Go to the start menu – Search for “run” – Once “run” opens, type in “%APPDATA%” – Double click on the “.minecraft” folder Mac User: – Go to you user folder – Double click on the “Library” folder – Double click on the “Application Support” folder – Double click on the “minecraft” folder Another side note!
If you can’t see the “Library” folder, go to Google and search “How to view hidden files on a mac”.
- Update your video drivers…
I don’t know what kind of graphics card you have, but you’ll be able to find the drivers on their website.
