You should NOT be taking readings ANY SOONER than TWO HOURS after eating. Readings taken earlier than that are UNDEFINED. Blood sugars taken too soon are COMPLETELY determine by WHAT and HOW MUCH you ate, are are thus unpredictable.Blood sugar readings taken TWO HOURS after eating should be BELOW 200.Blood sugar readings taken 4 or more hours after eating should be normal, 80-120.

I have read that it is unknown what causes astigmatism, but also I have read that astigmatism can be brought on by diabetes. Also, since the pinhole test is supposed to determine whether your vision problems are caused by disease or refractive error, could disease (diabetes) still cause your vision problems if your vision clears when you do the pinhole test?
