    Hi:I own Developer copies of both SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2008.  Alot of the books I own are old and only discuss SQL Server 2000.  So I would like to be able to use SQL Server 2000 sometimes.  I have SQL Server 2008 Developer Edition installed on my computer.  Can I also install SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition without any problems?

    I just installed SQL Server 2008 Express SMSS but am having an issue when I try to connect to the object explorer.  I have VS 2008 SP1 installed.  The installation of SS 2008 Express said it was successful.When I try to connect to the object explorer I get a a dialog box that says Microsoft .NET Framework at the top with the following error.  “Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application.  If you click continue, the application will ignore this err

    I have SQL 2008 installed and am getting a Visual Studio JIT Debugger popping up with the error message:An unhandled exception (‘System.IO.FileNotFoundException’) occurred in SQLPS.exe [40596]. I also have Windows Power shell 1.0 and Windows Power Shell 2.0 CTP installed. It the conflict related to these other installs? Which should I uninstall, and how can I repair SQL 2008?Thank you.

    We are using SQL Server 2008 as a bootstrap prerequisite and also are instructing users to download and install it from the installation packages if they want to prepare for the deliver of our new revision.We are seeing on some XP SP3 machines in test that the Installer for SQL Server 2008 returns an error code and an unhandled exception, in which case the Installer refuses to run and is unable to install 2008 Express on the workstations in question.Does anyone have any ideas?     Hi, I had installed a sql server 2008 on a XP Pro. My problem is when I try to register servers I got this error (Framework .NET warning): “Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. Key not valid for use in specified state…” Then if I try to click on the menu Registered Servers I can’t see any kind of tree as in other installations. I tried to repair Framework and it doesn’t work.. Can you help me? Thank you very much!
