      • To benefit from uBlock\u2019s higher efficiency,<\/strong> it\u2019s advised that you don\u2019t use other inefficient blockers at the same time (such as AdBlock or Adblock Plus). uBlock will do as well or better than most popular ad blockers.<\/li>\n
      • It\u2019s important to note that blocking ads is not<\/em> theft. Don\u2019t fall for this creepy idea. The ultimate<\/em> logical consequence of blocking = theft<\/code> is the criminalisation of the inalienable right to privacy.<\/li>\n
      • EasyList<\/em>, Peter Lowe\u2019s Adservers<\/em>, EasyPrivacy<\/em> and Malware domains<\/em> are enabled by default when you install uBlock. Many more lists are readily available to block trackers, analytics, and more. Hosts files are also supported.<\/li>\n
      • Once you install uBlock, you can easily un-select any of the pre-selected filter lists if you think uBlock blocks too much. For reference, Adblock Plus installs with only EasyList<\/em> enabled by default.<\/li>\n

        About uBlock<\/h2>\n

        Some users might want to check out uBlock Origin: a noteworthy personal fork of uBlock from @gorhill with a slightly different featureset.<\/p>\n

        uBlock is a general-purpose blocker \u2014 not an ad blocker<\/em> specifically. uBlock\u2019s main goal is to help users neutralize privacy-invading apparatus \u2014 ads being one example.<\/p>\n

        uBlock blocks ads through its support of the Adblock Plus filter syntax. uBlock extends the syntax and is designed to work with custom rules and filters.<\/p>\n
