What is the better way to locate the jasper compiled files? into the web application or in an external directory?<\/p>\n

Personally I think that is better to locate that files in an external directory because I can compile them and update them in the server without restarting it, besides the generated ear file is lighter.<\/p>\n

Does anyone have suggestions?<\/p>\n

    I always use the following template:<\/p>\n

    Inside jar: the ones noone can change without a new release.<\/p>\n

    Outside jar: those ones that must be configurable for each client.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Its good to put .jasper file outside , but if your system crash or you change your server on some other machine and forget to copy those jasper file , It will give you a big loss.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
